Dare TWS: Rest In Peace

This article was posted by Chino 2 years, 2 months, 2 weeks, 1 Day, 17 hours, 48 minutes ago.

I am truly shocked and saddened by this terrible news. The world has lost a remarkably talented artist and all-around good soul. My sincerest sympathies to his family and close friends at this difficult time.

I snapped this photo of Dare in front of one of his paintings at the Urban Discipline exhibit in Hamburg, Germany back in 2002.

The Renaissance Blackstone Hotel, Chicago. The hotel is stunning. A great balance of old world charm with an ultra modern twist.

The hospitality we received was top-notch. Big thanks to G.M Robert (Survive 185) Cartwright, Ryan Buck, The Blackstone Hotel & staff,  Kaves (congrats!), DJ ADM, Sacha Jenkins, Mikey Palms, Denz 1, Yaakov Gluck and the city of Chicago.

Chance With Wolves on East Village Radio

This article was posted by Chino 2 years, 3 months, 2 weeks, 6 days, 2 hours, 6 minutes ago.

Sacha and I were invited to EVR’s “Chances With Wolves” radio show last Monday to talk about our up coming book event at Greenlight Bookstore. KRSONE, who was also schedule to be on the show calls in around the 1 hour mark. After a surprise visit by Ricky Powell, Kris stays on the phone to chop it up with the Chances With Wolves crew, Sacha and I.

Tar Heel basketball

This article was posted by Chino 2 years, 3 months, 2 weeks, 6 days, 6 hours, 35 minutes ago.

Here are a couple of pics from my recent trip to North Carolina. While in town I was lucky enough to catch a Tar Heel Wake Forest game at the Smith Center (Dean Dome).

Considered one of the dominant basketball teams in NCAA history - only UCLA and Kentucky have won more NCAA final championships than the University of North Carolina.

I’m with the band…

The Heels have seen better seasons. On this night they were without Ed Davis who leads the team in points and rebounds. In spite of the 82-69 loss it was a great experience. North Carolina’s basketball program has helped produce; Michael Jordan, James Worthy, Kenny Smith, Rasheed Wallace, Rick Fox, Vince Carter… all except V.C have won NBA championships.

Rameses, UNC’s Bighorn Ram mascot. It might be time to dry clean the costume, dude smelled like a real ram.
