I got this button during a visit to the NYC transit museum back in the mid 80’s. I strongly believe they knew who I was and I think they were hoping to stab me with it.

Hahah. Gotta love the ephemera. Whether they knew who you were or not, they probably knew that you were a writer...it’s just that look, and of course, the ink-stained shoes.
