In last night’s UFC 82: Pride of a Champion main event - middleweight champion Anderson Silva
submitted Dan Henderson by way of rear naked choke in the closing seconds of the 2nd round.
Yesterdays title unification bout awarded Silva the (now defunct) Pride middleweight championship
belt. Although the belt may only serve as a souvenir from last night’s win, the victory helps solidify
Silva’s spot as pound for pound one of the best fighters in the Mixed Martial Arts world.
