Heavys Software pick of the week.

So I have been listening to a few techie podcasts recently.A nd have been checking out MAC break weekly, where you can…
“Get the latest Mac news and views from the top journalists covering Apple today. This roundtable discussion is audio only, and complements the video only MacBreak. Another great show from the Pixel Corps and the TWiT.tv network.”
SO they recommended this APP called jing which is an awsome screen capture app, that allows you to do a screen capture ad some text or what have you and then upload and share he image via a link seamlessly without switching apps or editing in photoshop. Ive found it useful in showing clients/ friends (lets be honest i dont have clients but i can dream), images to aid in discussing layout issues or in any situation where a lil visual aid might come in handy.
It also does video too. And if this flash (below) works you can see a demo.

quick jinx image example. below although it seems to not want to show so heres a link to it too

SLUTTT

SLUTTT’S page

as far as i know, this is a duo consisting of a nameless, faceless, crazy chick who sings and writes the lyrics, and her producer Red Foxxx who makes the music. they’re on the indie lable ‘summer lovers united music’ out of canada.
there’s a few tracks on their myspace page that i’ve been rocking, lately. “fuck nicole"- a remix of the song by the teenagers and “stop copying me.” the music is interesting, and the lyrics are a riot.

Tic Tac Toe All Day, Kid…

image

boy is this thing fun.
Passed on my number to some random public school maintenance worker about a month ago, on the promise of dude calling me next time he sees a chalkboard headed for the dump. People usually flake on this kind of thing, but early last week dude calls up. Stoked. Homeboy even delivered it to me all the way on the other side of town. All he wanted was a few bucks for some breakfast, which I laced handsomely. I haven’t stopped fiddling with this thing ever since. It’s actually a thin sheet of metal (who knew?) so magnets stick to it. I immediatly drew a big dart board and have been launching every magnet in the house at it.

now my only concern is that this public school motif I have going might spiral out of control. The tv is on a student desk and not pictured is a set of wacky colored old plastic school chairs.

To BE GAY in Mexico

Mexico allows gay conjugal visits

The prison system in Mexico City has begun permitting gay prisoners to have conjugal visits from their partners.

The city authorities accepted a recommendation by a human rights commission which said the visits would help to end discrimination.

The decision follows a complaint by a man who said he had been refused permission to visit his partner in jail on the grounds they were homosexual.

A 2003 Mexican law bans discrimination based on sexual preference.

“The Mexico City department of prisons and rehabilitation has allowed the first conjugal visit to an inmate with a sexual orientation other than heterosexual,” the city’s human rights commission (CDHDF) said.

It was, the commission said, “ an important step in terms of non-discrimination regarding sexual preference”.

Prisoners are allowed conjugal visits in many Mexican jails, and most do not require the visitor to be married to the inmate.

Mexico City’s centre-left government has taken a series of controversial decisions, including allowing same-sex civil unions and legalising abortion, despite strong opposition from conservatives and religious groups.

just saying…
Gliko i found you paradise son!

i’m retired and graffiti is some kid shit. if you didnt start before you were a teenager (sans a few exeptions) then you are a faggot trying to exploit my childhood.

here’s a sick drum solo from Tony Royster Jr. he was 12 (around the time the kids should start writing this graffit shit) when this was taped.

The Simpsons Movie (I spent my hard earned so you didn’t have…

so today the missus and i poney’d up the dough for 90 minutes of mildly amusing animated entertainment. it was bearable. ok, so maybe i’m being a little harsh. it would be worth renting the dvd. there were funny parts. you get to see bart’s wang (spoiler!) , they make fun of christianity a couple times and the animation is like 27% better than the tv show. i guess my hopes were too high. i mean, they took 10 years or so to make this thing, i figured it would be so epic it would rule my face off. unfortunately there was no face ruling. and it was definately a case of all the best bits are in the commercials. people applauded at the end, but i live in america now, so i should really start getting used to the lower collective intelligence here (even though i just had to spell check intelligence, ha!).

now i’m going to listen to architecture in helsinki and get drunk. i might even go write on stuff.

sorry vin, i didn’t piece today. i probably won’t tomorrow either. maybe during the week. i might do fillins tonight though, and i’ll totally intend to put you up (again) but then i’ll forget about it (again). so, sorry in advance (again). hope the date goes smashing.

on a side note, the dirty dozen is winning the blog competition (it is a competition, right?). even though we outnumber like everyone else put together, that’s beside the point. in your collective faces. ugh!
