Tuesday the 3rd I got to go to the VIP Opening of SHEPARD FAIREY: SUPPLY & DEMAND
at the ICA in Boston. It was pretty awesome to see the massive amount of work Shep. has
done over the years. Seeing yuppies and Old ladies swoon over Shepard the man was also
a site to be seen. I generally hate seeing graffiti related things in the gallery setting, But
Shepard’s work really does look great on the street or a museum wall. Some people are ready
to write off street art campaigns but Shepard does it well and has been doing for 20 years.
there was signs saying no photography so I was unable to take photos but not everyone
follows the rules so here are some photos a friend took. There are also some photos of Shepard
DJing at the after party.

While i was walking around a security guard stopped while i was walking around and asked if I
knew where he could buy a t-shirt by the artist I told him and he said
“i’ve worked here a while now and this is the first time I felt I could relate to the art”
I think thats about as telling as you can get.
