Hand in hand with my love of graffiti in my love of abandoned places.
Few things make me happier then exploring buildings and tunnels
You never know what you’ll find around the next corner or in the next nook.
There are a couple places that I’ve found that draw me back over and over,
The East Side Railroad Tunnel in Providence in one of these places.
Its flooded, cold, dark and leaky but there are few things i’d rather do on a
saturday then cross the bridge of pallets to explore and photograph.
The tunnel has been welded shut for a couple years so I haven’t been able to go
so until I get a plasma cutter this zine by Alex Lukas will have to hold
me over.

The tunnel has a ton of history that includes trains, graffiti, parties and a riot,
Underneath Providence: Findings Thus Far, gives a nice overview of its history.
The Zine is only 4 bucks and can be bought here Cantab Publishing
If you have spent time in this fascinating place and have stories or photos,
Alex Lukas is working on a larger book and is hunting down content.
