I saw Watchmen this wknd and was not impressed. However, I thought the opening credit montage was really well executed (for the record, the song used in the youtube clip is wrong, it was actually Bob Dylan’s “The Times, They Are A-Changin’). It struck a chord and reminded me of Arthur Fellig aka Weegee, a NY based photo-journalist. His nickname was a phonetic rendering of “Ouija” due to his innate ability to arrive at a crime scene or emergency moments after the incident occurred. After doing a little more research I was surprised at how many of his works I recognized. The drinking dancer is gorgeous and probably one of my favorites.
