Here is 2 simple tees I did for Stussy.. It’s a good feeling to design tees for one of the oldest street wear brand in the business still relevant after all this year. As a kid I was dreaming to design at least one tee for them… Mission accomplished… I guess.

Icaro Doria is Brazilian, 25 and has been working for the magazine Grande Reportagem, in Lisbon, Portugal, for the last 3 years. He is part of the team (with Luis Silva Dias, João Roque, Andrea Vallenti and João Roque) that produced the flags campaign which has been circulating the Earth in chain letters via e-mail. Icaro gave us a small statement about the campaign, translated by Isabell Erdmann:
The magazine Revista Grande Reportagem is a Hard Journalism magazine, on the same line as the Times. The idea was to bring across the concept that the magazine offers profound journalism about topics of real importance to the world of today. This is how we thought of the concept Meet the World. We started to research relevant, global, and current facts and, thus, came up with the idea to put new meanings to the colours of the flags. We used real data taken from the websites of Amnesty International and the UNO.
The campaign has been running in Portugal since January 2005.

I just got in the mail those 4 tees I did for my boy Lionel in France. Sixpack is about to celebrate 10 year in the biz this year. Congratulation! Not only the quality of their products is great but they are also amazing creative people with a strong vision. Every year the rooster of artist is getting better and better. Check out their website and get some fresh gear. You’ll find online good stuff from fellow bloggers Razauno, Struggle, Sp One, Dan Funder, and 123 Klan… The Reed Space and classic kicks will carry the brand in New York this Spring. Big Up Lionel!!!! Check also their blog on Highsnobiety

Last night was the NBA’s all stars dunk contest 2008 ... I have been a huge fan of this show since 1988 and Jordan killing it. I have to say that Dwight Howard from the Orlando Magic reached the all of fame of dunkers last night with 4 super impressive dunks. He is the NBA’s dunk leader this season with so far 177 Dunks. Here is one…
I’ll post his others when NBA will release them…
Meanwhile here is is top 10:

PECCINOTTI, GIACOBETTI FOR PIRELLI
Like my fellow blogger Mister Geez, I have been really into 60’s and 70’s imagery recently. Today I want to give props to the Pirelli Calendar that makes people dream since the 60’s. Pirelli (A tire company from Italy) invites each year a different fashion photographer and load of top models to create a tastefull and erotic calendar. I remember being really attracted by those naked beauties hanging on the wall of the local automotive joint where my dad would pick up his busted car. Those calendars display well how fashion photography evolved in the last 30 years. I have to say that Harry Peccinotti and Francis Giacobetti are in my top 10 fashion photographers. In their work for Pirelli they were able to make really sexy and hot photos without displaying pretty much anything too easy to show nowadays (aka boobs, pubes, etc...) Imagine being shooting on a deserted beach at a time were no cellphone, Iphone, wireless computer, etc… where polluting the vibe… 100% pure pleasure and fun. Hope you’ll enjoy as I much as I do....

My Friend Matt “Fu-Manchu” from Hawaï sent me that link today. It a martial art movie coming this year from Thailand. It makes me feel good to watch it after such a shitty day. A great stress reliever....In Thai action movies, the tradition is that the actors do their own stunts..which means sometimes they get hurt big time… The beginning is weird but once the little girl shows up, booyashaka!!!

I know it’s a lot to ask… But life is made of dreams. If only one or the other could happen it would be a great February!
