Yesterday on my way home after a meeting, my wife called me to tell me Michael Jackson died. I was really surprised by this news. Once I hung up few blocks from home, I started to pay attention to people around and I realized that everybody had a conversation about MJ. From the taco truck to the palestinians at the bodega, the fixie hipsters to the polish bakery girls, the wall street girls almost crying in her black berry to my super, everybody was in disbelief. That’s where I realized how huge of an impact MJ had on many generations and countries. Remember he sold more than a hundred million copies of Thriller worldwide! Me and my brother got from my aunt the Thriller tape for christmas 1982 and spent countless morning hours dancing in pajama’s next to the family boom-box. Rest in peace MJ!
