My favorite magazine is calling it a quit after +10 years in Business. Mass Appeal home of amazing articles about graffiti, street life, fashion, music, ode jobs,etc.. is closing. Fellow bloggers Reas and Sp One contribute to some of my favorite magazine cover ever and my buddies at Alife art directed it for a while with dope articles, photo shoots and covers. (The Lee and Earsnot covers are classic material). I had a chance to work with them as well in 2001 on a 10 pages story. R.I.P Mass Appeal. We will really miss you. Adrian, thanks again for your passion! Good luck with everything! More in Folio Magazine.

A shame… this used to be a great magazine. That SP cover was mindblowing.
Hey People,
Mass Appeal may not be intending to keep publishing the magazine for now,
but don’t sleep on it as a brand with plenty of life left in it…
from what I understand, it may still keep it’s website and online presence intact,
and knowing the entrepreneurial spirit of the talented people behind it,
there are certainly also other possibilities for developing it in more fluid ways for the future too…
true, it will be missed on the regular in print for now,
but like many indie publications that started out as a labor of love,
it was a blessing to have it around in the first place....
HAZE⦠If your still around, I wanted to ask you what the original typeface was that you used for the EPMD logo from Strictly Business?
this is sad news! complex magazine has a lot to thank mass appeal for!
hope it comes back.
the old ghost ris interview and the “tools of the trade” article were great.
