New York, New York

I am happy to finally release the all new redesigned and updated version of my website : www.interhaze.com

With a previous site that had been no less than 10 years old now, and only updated once over 5 years ago -
my mission was to go back to the beginning through all my archives and files, digital and otherwise,
and blueprint a complete cross section and overview of my full body of work to date,
one that hopefully also presented an accurate balance between all the mediums and materials I have navigated over the last three decades -
from the trains and walls of my old neighborhoods, through the golden years of hip hop, the downtown art scene, streetwear and branding,
including all kinds of media and projects I have worked on prior to the world of internet exposure,
all the way up through the new millennium and here and now of both the brand I have created,
and who I remain personally as an independent artist and designer.

Ultimately, I still approach the website as an online archive and portfolio,
wanting as little technology or bells and whistles between the work, contents and viewer,
still happily maintaining my same old less is more within this platform ;
simply sliced, diced, tweaked, and sequenced with an emphasis on flow and continuity over chronology.
After almost a solid year of development, I’m really psyched with the final results, and to finally be able to share it with everyone now…
plus frankly, having created a large portion of this work well before the invention of home computers and websites,
if still blows my mind just being able to click through it all now like an instant visual merry go round.

Beyond that, yes, there are also still many other ways I can and will modernize and update the site in due time,
with new video mixes in the works, products that will go up for sale on the shop before the end of the year,
and the intent to nurture and keep the site’s inherent blog fresh over time for sure too.

So there you go, please take the time to check out the site when you have a chance to surf it…

and for real,
a heartfelt thanks and much love to so many over so many years who have been part of the creation of the content,
to Joe Cartman and STEADY, the interactive studio that has been instrumental in the site’s recreation ( http://www.steadyltd.com ),
as well as to Allen Benedikt, who has remained an invaluable source of modern savvy and support, online and otherwise.

Peace.

Born in New York City in 1961, Eric Haze has been a leader in the worlds of art, graphic and product design for over 30 years. In the 70’s, under the name “HAZE”, he established his own influential styles of graffiti, bombing the trains and the walls of NYC. During the 80’s, Haze became one of the first artists to help visually communicate Hip Hop culture to the world via his graphic and logo design. Haze then went on to establish his own eponymous brand in the 90’s, which remains one of the blueprints for modern streetwear as we now know it.

To this day, he continues to produce a variety of creative work in many mediums, including design collaborations with many of the worlds most respected brands, and has also recently returned to the fine art world, where he has been exhibiting a new body of more personal work. A true New York icon, Haze runs his art and design studio out of their new Brooklyn headquarters.
