first post here since i got done with my move, so i find it only appropriate to start off with a great individual from the city of milwaukee. faythe levine is a woman of many inspiring creative outlets, aside from being one of a small handful of people i got to know a lot better in my time back in milwaukee. aside from her amazing book and movie titled handmade nation which was recently released (and may be screening in your town soon), she curates an amazing annual fair by the name of art vs. craft. additionally she used to play the saw in a sweet band.
sadly a shop she along with my friend kim have run for 5+ years in milwaukee will be closing its doors in about 2 weeks. i along with many other people no doubt are waiting to see what she is going to be up to next (not that theres any pressure, faythe). selfishly i hope her next move brings her to nyc. this city could use her input.
