Last weekend I popped in on a old timer’s reunion for writers in Manhattan that was organized by CRANE TMT. I was pleased to meet some old heads I had never met before over the course of the two days that they came out. The get together was small but the names were large: COMET, PART, CHAIN3, BOOTS 199, KIT17, CLYDE, NIC 707, LAVA 1 & 2, TEEN, TEAN, FED2, LIONEL 168, RUB5, TRACY 168, REE2, STAN, PRIZ and a few others were in the house. The biggest surprises were Lionel 168 who is from the first generation of New York City writers and who Nic 707 was giving props to for doing the first non-tag style piece (the first was Super Kool 223 I am told) and also Tracy168 who was reportedly locked up but is in fact a free man. Stay free Tracy and nuff respect to the old school generation and the pioneers who paved the way.
