Rachel Whiteread

Rachel Whiteread is one of my favorite artists. A British artist and the first woman to win the Turner prize, her work consists of casting negative spaces. The inside of a room, the inside of a house, the space beneath a table, books on a shelf, etc.
Check her out, she’s made a lot of really interesting and beautiful work.

Interesting concept. I’d like to see the molds of these pieces as well. “Sequel IV” is the best and weirdest of this set .

I saw the bookshelf in someone’s house. They were rich as sin.
