Chinese Connection- HAZE at MOCA Hong Kong
Just in from a sweeping exhibition in Hong Kong Eric Haze has clearly redefined the line on which his work travels. From stark graphic line works to rapid action drawings and multi layered drip paintings the show exhibits the range of his discipline and commitment to exploring various qualitative values of line drawing and painting. For those who know his work this exhibit shows how his process, of which have come to know as graphic, sharp and clearly defined, has splintered from his normal path to become more dynamic, expressive and unpredictable. It all nicely stems from the same thread of his experiences in the graff culture and design world and affords us the opportunity to consider his works thru a different prism when we consider the artist he was and is today.
