M139 Sneaker Concept for PUMA

This is a concept(?) shoe sculpture I made on a PUMA suede shoe. Its rather interesting and unusual, it shows what could happen if a sculptor took to a shoe. This is a sketch per se, Ive never designed a shoe before, I prefer to exercise structural design rather than just an applied graphic which could be cool but really wrestling with materials is my forte.

Curious to hear feedback.

Mare...I like the concept. The arrows bring that integrity of graff to the piece...and at times it makes the piece more than what it is.

Though on this piece, I find it unbalanced because you have all the arrows in the front, but then again the back looks really clean-its a hard one cause I’d like to see an arrow thrown on the back...you know-like a connection to the rest of the peice(my opinion)....like if you block off the front of the sneaker and look at it from the back...it tends to look just like horizontal stripes-knowimean?

I’m not trying to downplay your style(which I fully respect)...what about probably bending the arrows a bit in the same direction as the arrow is going? They look a little too flat-seeing that is a 3 dimensional piece-knowimean.

I dig the arrow cut-out you saved for the tongue...thats a standout point.

Mare...all in all its fresh...I could really see this pattern printed(lasered) into a clean white leather puma...probably gotta downgrade the arrows and stem sizes… but dope concept.

Much respect...Peace.
