Today, Saturday June 27th, is the annual Graffiti Hall of Fame wall painting extravaganza
at 106th and Park Avenue in East Harlem. This Hall of Fame in a schoolyard was started
in 1980 by community activist Ray Rodriguez and has been going strong ever since. The
schoolyard was completely renovated recently and sadly no longer has that gritty, urban
feel but the walls are still there and they will be painted!! I’ve raided my archives for some
early flix from 1982. Henry and I will be there. Hope you can make it!
