For the past three years I’ve been taking the bus to Baltimore every other weekend, a four hour ride.
I’ve been trying to document a neighborhood that people mostly know from seeing The Wire. Instead
of crimes and drugs, I’ve been focusing on community and the use of shared public space under
difficult circumstances. This is purely a personal project. I don’t have any plans for the photos at the
moment but I’m sure that the neighborhood will change and I wanted to capture it at this point in time.
Here are a few of the photos from last weekend.

As the bus enters Baltimore, there’s a good view of freights. Loved this whole car!

It’s a little early for crabs but it’s a Baltimore specialty and this family was feasting on the street.

Interesting you chose Baltimore. An interesting and historical city for sure.. watch yourself taking pictures though, I've been detained by homicide cops for taking pictures of freights. So many photographic possibilities, though. Can't wait to see what you do with the pictures!
