Lady Aiko Begins Work on Bowery Wall

This article was posted by Luis 10 months, 1 week, 4 days, 5 hours, 52 minutes ago.

Brooklyn-based artist Lady Aiko has begun work on a mural on the famed Bowery Wall after months of it displaying the work of LA artist Retna. She joins a growing list of contemporary artists who have been commissioned to create murals on the wall located on Bowery and Houston streets in NYC. The wall was first blessed 30 years ago by Keith Haring but only over the past few years has it seen new life through the help of curator Jeffrey Deitch and the wall’s owner, Tony Goldman. Looking forward to seeing progress shots of this project as it develops.
