Video: Abandoned Swimming Pool Turned Street Art Tribute

The incredible, now abandoned swimming pool named Piscine Molitor (also known as the Piscines Auteuil-Molitor or the Grands établissements balnéaires d’Auteuil) was opened in Paris, France in 1929 and inaugurated by Johnny Weissmuller, who was an Austrian-Hungarian-born American swimmer and actor best known for playing Tarzan in movies. The pool was officially closed in 1989 but has now become a popular spot for local artists to paint. As the space is set to be destroyed this year to make way for more commercial ventures Los Angeles based artist Mambo decided to create this stunning tribute piece dedicated to Johnny Weissmuller.
