I see SP made a memorial post as well. I also only met Rem311 once back in 84 at Henrys I remembered him being a very cool writer (in 84 that was somewhat rare) I also took note of his R’s. When your name starts with a certain letter you tend to notices stuff like that. Yesterday for some reason I was looking at a Rem311 piece and hadn’t thought of him in years, later that night i was told he passed a way.

Here something Mone wrote about him in his memory

A local writer from my neighborhood passed unexpectedly this weekend. Alex “Rem 311” Farrow died of a massive heart attack Friday night at the age of 47. Growing up Rem 311 was one of my earliest recollections of graffiti. Him along with the TGF crew (Ozzie, Leroy 444, Vet, Scorp, War, etc) were the guys doing burners from the early to late 80’s all over my neighborhood where i grew up. I met Alex in 99 when he made his comeback. He was a really good dude. He lived close by my old crib, and would constantly come through to hang out. He was a very simple person. Dude had a big heart, and was never one to have any enemies or get caught up in drama.

The summer of 2010, Darth Vader hold ups, heat waves, art openings, and some covers on Complex mag. Here are jpgs of the covers, in print the red on my cover is a bright fluorecent and Jose has Metalics so I’m looking forward to seeing them on the stands. I was really pleased to be teamed up with these guys because we are all friends which was a nice added bonus to hear when I was asked to do this. Thanks Noah Callahan Bever and Mark Ecko.  Here is an additional jpeg of a slightly alternate version before we made the decision to make the type fluorecent, good idea Brent Rollins. I think I just gave shout outs.

I had a great time in Denmark if the free markets are speaking I’m sold on their brand of socialism. Myself Barry Josh and my friend Alex Burns biked around town in perfect weather while back in NYC it was a 103 degrees.  A lot of friends came out, Bates and Jamil from 12 oz both came by (3 guys from here in. A long list of writers from Denmark Paris Finland and other nearby destinations came down to party check out the show. The V1 Guys Jesper and Mikkel helped us put on a great event complete with a smoke machine.  Me and Lydia Fong spent a few days after making lithograph prints at http://www.editioncopenhagen.com/ we worked from morning into the am. The print studio was amazing and the crew working there where amazing to work with!
