I see SP made a memorial post as well. I also only met Rem311 once back in 84 at Henrys I remembered him being a very cool writer (in 84 that was somewhat rare) I also took note of his R’s. When your name starts with a certain letter you tend to notices stuff like that. Yesterday for some reason I was looking at a Rem311 piece and hadn’t thought of him in years, later that night i was told he passed a way.
Here something Mone wrote about him in his memory
A local writer from my neighborhood passed unexpectedly this weekend. Alex “Rem 311” Farrow died of a massive heart attack Friday night at the age of 47. Growing up Rem 311 was one of my earliest recollections of graffiti. Him along with the TGF crew (Ozzie, Leroy 444, Vet, Scorp, War, etc) were the guys doing burners from the early to late 80’s all over my neighborhood where i grew up. I met Alex in 99 when he made his comeback. He was a really good dude. He lived close by my old crib, and would constantly come through to hang out. He was a very simple person. Dude had a big heart, and was never one to have any enemies or get caught up in drama.
