a little blurb from the Marsea about the show….

"The past decade and half of New Image Art has been a wild ride! It has been the greatest honor to be able to work with and know many of our artists and gallery supporters. All the unknowns, underdogs, avant-gurardians, newbies, bad-asses, and geniuses; all of them a part of the very fabric that makes up New Image Art.

The 15 year anniversary party will serve as a retrospective show – a show of shows if you will. Many of our artists over the past 15 years have been asked to contribute in memorializing this event by representing what it is they do best. We are striving to communicate the essence of New Image Art = ultimate creativity, this is everyone’s party!!

We will be showing videos and slide presentations and inviting our favorite past musical guests for live performances, dancing, and an all around good time."

i was recently commissioned by Gravity Tank in Chicago to do a permanent installation in their cafe area. it was made from scrap materials from their shop as well as other stuff i had collected from local dumpsters and thrift shops. while i was there they filmed the whole process and made this video of it.

thanks to all the peoples at Gravity Tank for hooking up the project and making it an enjoyable week.

i had the Jalapeno and Cheddar Pork Sausage with Tex-Mex Enchilada Sauce and Habanero-Jack Cheese. a little too much sauce for me, but a good spice to the sausage.

and Mr. Powers had the Saucisson Alsacienne: Bacon Sausage with Creme Fraiche, Caramelized Onions and Explorateur Cheese, which i was close to trying but the onions threw me off.

they are closed for 13 days around the holidays so i might have to get off my ass and review some other lunch spots.

some photos from my recent show TAMBOURINE SOLO: TAKE ONE at Andrew Rafacz gallery in Chicago. the show consisted of a large pentagram made of found wood and vintage tambourines, on the walls to the left and right of it are looping video pieces i made. also my homie Zachary Mastoon aka Caural made a great sound track for the piece.
