Getting more people to watch a botched attempt at being ironically hip will make a significant impact on the man br0. Fight the power and all that.

Too fucking cool.
Hey, that’s around the corner from where I used to live.
Shocking, those tasteless pukes in the stock exchange didn’t have the sense to pay for it themselves. Some of the traders that work down there have been known to make that much just in a days commission whether they do well or not. What crew did Di Modica rep back then?
theres a party goin down on the west side
great post.
Great!
i feel for riff, shit sucks, i am homeless as well, its hard out there and times are rough, hope cat gets what he deserves, peace

Good luck!
Thanks for all the hard work and hard earned money you’‘ve pumped into this site Raven, I’‘ve been here for a decade now and probably would have accomplished a lot more in life were this place not so entertaining.
@Fist 666
No doubt. 2012 is going to be our year. Got lots of good stuff planned, much of it thats been in the works for most of 2011. Too many years of letting 12oz ride on its own. Now its time to step our game up.
One thing I definitely want to mention… All this development is thanks to the advertisers. I know sometimes it sucks to have ads all over, but its what it takes to keep things growing. Fact is they can advertise on a million other sites, but chose us. Help keep them supporting 12oz so we can keep growing by clicking an ad and checking out their goods and services. Doesn’t take much, so please support the companies that support 12oz.
I know ads pay the bills and make all this possible, but I know of several people that have switched to using ABP or other ad block add-ons because of the ads that play audio: I assume those turn a couple more bucks than ads that don’‘t, but those things are seriously obnoxious. Its hard to motivate support for those companies when we don’‘t even want to scroll over the ad..
I like her boobs.
I hear you on that. I’ll talk to the people booking our ads to see if we can cut out some of this obnoxious practices out.
Thanks for the feedback and for commenting.
Considering the forum seems to revolve on the express desire to talk shit, its weird that it hasn’t overflowed onto the news. Anyways, this contest is our way of encouraging things a bit. We’ve been putting a ton of energy into posting all the news so it’d be great to hear people comment about the stuff.
I have to admit to switching to using ad block, but I do turn it off to click on an ad for revenue then switch it back on. Like the changes to the news feed, much more regular and onpoint, looking forward to all the other changes and plans for 2012
Deep down I just want to make the other 115 comments “blah blah blah” and claim that sweet ass prize, but I get the vibe you guys are going for. I’ve seen the progress you speak of and its a beautiful thing. I can feel that this site is going to get better and better and I’ve been paying more attention to the home-screen blog than I ever have in the past 4 years. Keep it up! Go big or go home! Fuckuhz
Also, while there is a prize, this is also a good way to hype the new account functions and the new homepage etc, surprised there hasn’t really been much talk of that on the forum (that I’ve noticed)
We’re about to start tweaking they new home and profile pages. Technically all that stuff is still in Beta, but yeah… I agree. In general kids have been locked into the forum and haven’t done as much exploring as I expected. Lot of cool stuff to check out and once it starts poppin, it’ll be that much more fun around here.
All the user group colors and avatars are feeling especially festive.
Same as fist 666 been coming here for a decade now (holy shit), and echo his thanks for all the time and effort.
I build sites for a living, mostly large enterprise, and know first hand what it takes to tackle something like this.
My only feedback up to this point is the lack of Mobile support from a strictly layout point of view - on that CSS media queries type. It’s quite the pain to navigate and view content on an iPhone or similar.
./no usa address ./no contest entry here.
Can I has some of teh krinks for a prize?
@bigpoppa.k
Actually mobile is a big part of the rewrite. This version of the site is nearly 100% valid HTML5 and CSS3. We stripped out the last of the Flash, so in general are fully prepped to start building mobile. Our ad agency is actually working on an app for us, but we’ll start working on mobile templates as soon as we get further along with the core site. That said, other than the forum, I never hard much of an issue with 12oz on iOS.
I remember trying to get an invite to join 12oz (when it was still invite only) spent ages lurking the forum but couldnt post as couldnt get an invite as no one I know used the site, in the end I found Hayabusa’s email on his profile and emailed him for an invite, finally got on here and a month later invites were removed! Was lurking for a good 2 years before getting my account on here.
Too many funny 12oz moments to remember at the moment.
I don’t have much to say besides “Thanks” and “Happy New Year.” Oh, and the mobile site looks awesome.
Getting closer to 120 posts… Might have to win this myself.
By the way, you know you can also post images in comments?
@raven.. good to hear about the html5/css3.
Frustrating as opposed to actual issues, as most of the internet is like that anyway.
google “responsive web design”. Using strictly css you can adjust the layout based on what resolution you’re on, so from a 2 or 3 column site you can adapt it to a 1 column site for iPhones - then bump the font size up for readability. It’s quite “app like”, but uses existing html structure and content.
cheers..
@bigpoppa.k
Yeah, I know about responsive web design. Problem I see is that it hard enough to get the core version up. To have to start considering various view port sizes is something that you need Nike-type budget to pull off. Kinda reminds me of the old days when people created Flash and HTML versions of their sites… Lotta freakin work.
As a young kid I think I grew up about a block away from where Raven lived in Miami. I remember seeing some “Raven” tags in the back alley I used to walk down to from the local mini mart - they might have also been Oil’s hands too. Anyways word had been spreading about an underground magazine named 12ozProphet, I was given a copy from a kid at school and I remember being exposed to graffiti from around the United States territory, and the world. It got me hooked and I’ve been following 12oz ever since! Seeing it grow from a neighborhood writer of mines, to a worldwide institution is mind blowing. I just hope people on here don’t take this site for granted and see it as a home. That’s all I have to say about that.
i dig the new shirts.
did not dig the log in issues and forced screen name change.
but, i’m sure it’s for the good of all ounce members..
@DownSyndrome
Thanks man. You’re definitely in the running for favorite post so far.
Thanks Raven - Log in Issues or not, I still dig the site, and appreciate the hard work you’ve put in over the years! I know it sound a bit kiss ass to some, but seeing the state our country is in - There is no room for cynicism especially when comes to an art form like graffiti.
Big waste of my time. Not related to graff what so ever
@DownSyndrome
No doubt… Fresh avatar.
I spent like 10 minutes trying to login with my forum account, then trying to reset my password/ figure out which email i was using on here. Damn it.
@PERTPLUS1
Thanks for taking the time.
Again, easiest thing to do is logout using the ‘logout’ button in the top right (assuming you see it) or hit this link: http://www.12ozprophet.com/index.php?ACT=12
Then login using the ‘login’ button in the top right or at this link: http://www.12ozprophet.com/index.php/login
Once you do that you’ll be logged in on the front of the site (news & blogs), as well as the forum.
Now back on topic… How’d you start coming to 12oz?
i found this site back in ‘99, and i’ve visited this site nearly every damn day since then and i have nothing to show for it. i do however appreciate all the laughs you crazy fucks. happy holidays
oh btw, if i win a t-shirt, i’m getting a fucking XL b/c your size L shirts are made for chicks or dudes who need to hit the gymnasium.
I don’t have a witty comment to devote to you, the 12oz crew, just so I could win a t-shirt, but I’d like to thank you for being the most interesting graffiti forum on the web (yeah, you won me, I heard about 12oz on another forums about 3 years ago and have been on here since then). Although I don’t post much, I have had many genuine laughs over the years and you’ve kept me updated on what’s going on outside of my little town in middle of nowhere, and all that for free. I hope that 2012 will be the 12oz year and wish you the best.
Criticism? I really don’t have any, except that the homepage profile could be synced with the forum profile. I don’t know about the others, but mine isn’t.
how are the comments already slowing down?\n\ni found 12oz my junior year of high school, i’‘d been writing for about a year, terrible, terrible embarrassing stuff from that era. some cooler kids that helped me progress with my letters told me to check the site out. \ni lived in the mountains with my closest neighbor a mile away, i didn’‘t have a car at the time so i spent my weeks in isolation killing time on 12 with dial up and my weekends i’‘d stay at friends houses and go paint.
Dont have a cool story about the coming to the oontz, Heard about it from a friend. I remember my first prop though, it came after I made fun of the picture of the dead guy with a ton of knives sticking out if him posted in the nonsense thread.
haha. thats a memory to cherish.
Ahahaha ... shouts to a long 4 years spent posting ridiculous things on this site. I originally came for the graphing and dancing but stayed for the offensive humor and unique, er, viewpoints expressed. Much love to the chatline, many a drunk message was left there.
-INJ
I’d totally rape that.
Oh crap. That probably broke the new TOS, so by “rape”, I mean give her a 12oz. sticker.
yes…whats her address
don’t know how i ended up here, don’t know how to get out…
getting a lady gaga vibe of it
i’ll bring my toiletbrush because it don’t work anymore

By the way, you know you can also post images in comments?...
come into me
I used to have access to 12oz at a job I had, that was the best paid to read and post on 12oz, plus would be a lottery of if the thread would be suitable for work!
I swear my wife thinks I am crazy to be on here all the time and getting her to look at stuff I find funny but she doesn’t at all! I would say the community on 12oz always makes me laugh and have gotten to know and chat to some really good artists. I don’t think any other site I have been on has the same community vibe as 12oz.
been oontzin since ‘04, found out about it in my highschool library and would spend my lunch breaks checking out flicks., trying to reach the rank of ‘Unstoppable’ status has been a long one. keep up the good work. dont twitter so cant tweet this, also shall like this on fb if i remember.
-freakeenyc
ZE!
I was coming here as a young youth, yo rockin the gold tooth, ‘Lo goose…now i’m in my 30’s. Way to make 8 hours pass by for 10 years. 12oz is definitely for the kids, definitely SFW!
I found out about 12oz only a little over a year ago.I’ve been to a bunch of others like it,but keep coming back to this one.
This place has a more mature crowd and is more entertaining.So for that I applaud the oontzers.Glad to see the improvements.
12oz holdin it down. Peace
Chea
so does this shirt come in a size: small?
Brosolini! Tell em!
I found out about 12 oz prophet from the magaine, which I still have several copies of. I kept waiting for Mr. Raven to run out of beer money so he could put out more, looks like that never happened. (Minus the A.K.A. books which are awesome BTW, I have the gold one.) My favorite 12 oz moment was when I found out a cat I knew from around the way, and in real life was a mod on here, It shocked me because i did not know anyone who knew about the oontz other than who i told about this website. Other than the occasional hiccups of pages not loading, or not being logged in/out, I like the way that 12 oz is, and the blogs. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to what the new year brings.
I found out about 12ozProphet in the 1990’s when a 12oz Magazine somehow got mixed in with my porn stash. Back in them days porn would load painfully slow on the internet, so we had these these things called porn magazines. It was cool.
I found out about 12 oz via the Os Gemeos issue and being impressed with the overall quality compared to what was out at the time, but I didn’t know 12 oz had a website till someone told me they saw my stuff on here. That was around the end of 2002. I made an account shortly thereafter but didn’t post much till I discovered Channel Zero in 2005. Then it was all downhill from there…who would have thought that I’d spend all these years on a graffiti forum talking about everything but graffiti? All the same, I’ve made some good friends and had some good times here thanks to Raven and company.
COME ON PEOPLE. POST UP! THERE’‘S A T-SHIRT AT STAKE! \n\n
Aids
I used live in the sticks. No, for real, I mean like the woods. When I was in high school the only way I could see graffiti was online. That’s how I found my way to 12 oz. I was eighteen and stoked on graffiti. Still as stoked on it now as I was then.
12 oz should be the realness and hook up coltski with a t shirt, im not funny, i dont say anything interesting, nor do i do laundry, and i need a clean shirt, so yeah that would be cool, thanks guys
Website always goes down at 1 am, wtfuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Still pretty far from 120 posts, so this is up for grabs. Come on guys, lets hear it…
Happy New Years 12 oz.
the thing about me is that i go directly to the forum, maybe promo this on the forum for more comments
freakeenyc
Happy New Year 12oz!!! 2012 do big things!
Freak I think a lot of people go direct to the forum, but there is a thread in ch0 about this.
So what is people’s favourite thread on 12oz? Homo dungeon? Whales are dogs? I know there have been some classics!
Cat did that billboard dirty. Much respect!
one of the early threads that still stands out to me was Tease’s Oral Impregnation Concern Thread. that is classic stuff right there.
While I was in Afghanistan I had a conversation with one of my soldiers who had the same concern, and also thought that back door impregnation was possible. He said thats what he’d learned in public schools in Texas. I was having 12oz flashbacks while at war…
I keep forgetting to uncheck the “get notified of follow up comments” box. I don’t really see the necessity/desirability of that feature.
love the fact that you can now comment on posts like these. was well gutting a couple years ago, bates was posting regularly some mad flicks and couldnt even tell him how sick they were! i like this management/consumer interaction now
as for things to improve on? it would be awesome to see some UK stuff happen. uncouthyouthLDN just dont quite live up to 12oz standards. i love how this site gives such a broad picture of the graff scene in the US but if you want to look for stuff in uk you gotta trawl through loads of different sites instead of just sit and jam on one site.
i miss Tesseract and Browner.

I can’t imagine the time and bandwidth I’ve killed on this site since january 2004 Must be months at least…
still I get a lot back and people loved my pics of chernobyl…I’ve drank with, consumed drugs with, floated down rivers on a truck tyre tube with, eaten pizza with and most of all painted with fellow Ooontzers!!!!
if only there were ads on the Australian users pages - we just get the MTN ads…....... would be good to get some relevant advertisers to click on but I imagine it’s hard!
keep it up!
I would post in here but my mind is blank…also, I’m pretty sure Raven is Welshist and I can’t support that so I’m not posting anything.

Getting arrested with other 12ozers at 2am has probably been my 12oz highlight. This site has been instrumental in helping me procrastinate for at least 10 years, thanks!

well just doing my bit to get somebody else a shirt because I’ll watch this thread like a hawk until comment 116 and then I’ll forget and go make a cup intime to post comment #121
I really wish you guys wouldn’t gas this swagless toy up so much, Talk to the community more, click around on the internet looking for lame shit to repost less. There are like 20 articles about this douche. People would take this newsfeed a little more seriously if you occasionally wrote something about the million other people who actually do real graffiti, or street art, or anything other than media events and disguised voice videos. It’s like Banksy but with no talent. His entire career this kid did what? 4 horribly executed extinguisher tags total. I saw a video, dude stopped mid letter like a bitch, he was looking more skiddish than his own shit stained underwear looked after his publicity stunt. Mr. anti retail is making tshirts, what a surprise, lets get that “news” out there ASAP.
...
...
what about the shirt’s sizes? i think that’s an interesting topic for discussion…
I love drinking Heineken been awhile been on a cheep beer kick has of late.

This is Top shelf body-dont like white girls much-this 1 gets it….
thanks for ruining my breakfast.
@Mercer
We aren’t “gasing” Kidult, but rather covering whats out there. No one can argue that he isn’t making noise; you certainly felt passionate enough to write a paragraph hating on his campaign… There are plenty of writers who spend 20 years getting up in alleys and cutty spots, AND spin-offs like Kidult who’s marketing savvy puts them on the front page overnight. That’s what we are interested in, more so than his work; covering both sides. If you have a better story feel free to email it to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and we would be happy to include your voice on our feed.
jaya for being the first.
