My Capsule.

Towards the end of the Japan trip, money was getting a little tight for everybody. My last night there, I decided to go the capsule route for the night. Only 3000 Yen (roughly $30.00) for a night. Check in at 5pm and check out at 10am. It feels like going into a laundromat with a wall of dryers, but then having people climb inside and spend the night in the dryers. Men only, you have a choice of top or bottom. Each one has a curtain that you pull down for privacy, and there is a 70’s style console inside each one with am/fm radio and a small TV. You get woken up by a cattle call loudspeaker that echoes through every floor of the place. They are cheap and clean, but if you are claustrophobic, I might think twice about it. Strange also that there was a a sticker on the door of the hotel that, from what I could figure out, banned Yakuza from staying there.

Thats kinda bugged out. I cant imagine this working in NYC. It would help with over crowding though. Whats the air quality like? That would be my first question and is it sound proof? Would be kinda wack 1- if you farted and it wasnt air filtered, 2- if the guy below you hears it.

a ban on Yakuza is always a good idea. I need that sign for my front door.
