"Songs of Innocence” and “Songs of Experience” are two albums that were way before their time. I like to think that if Axelrod never made albums, DJ Shadow wouldn’t be having the career he’s having.

Great auteur (Holy Thursday is so top boss...) and damn bizarre album cover art - Dave looks a bit like Hugh Hefner having a Fruedian nightmare in this one… that’s what diving head-first into Blake does to you I guess. Or maybe it’s just plain old drugs thing.
