12ozProphet Forum Shot of the Day: Skuf, Amaze, Sace, Earsnot, Geshu – New York 1998

{image-1} Here is our 12ozProphet Forum Shot of the Day. At first this photo may not look like much, but to a graffiti connoisseur this flick may take you back. This is what the streets of SoHo looked like back in 1998. Note the Skuf 1998 paint tag across the top, before his handstyle got refined and perfected to the point today where ever one looks like a carbon-copy of the last. It’s actually going over a sick Amaze mop tag (unintentionally I presume.) Peep the Sace 3D and Earsnot T2B tags on the left from before IRAK crew was established. Also worth noting is the handful of Geshu tags (pronounced “guess who”) in the photo. Though they are small and hard to see in this flick, Geshu RYB had one of the coolest and most unique handstyles of the late 90’s. It might be hard to find though because photos like these are rare. This was a day in age before digital cameras, when every time you pressed the shutter, you knew it cost you for that frame of film. It brings back memories seeing a photo like this. This photo was posted in the New York City thread of the Writers Forum by nycisdead106.
