12ozProphet Forum Shot of the Day: Stay High 149

By - Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

Here is our 12ozProphet Forum Shot of the Day. The legendary Stay High 149 was one of the most influential graffiti writers in the 70’s. His top-to-bottom tags, predecessors to today’s pieces, are immortalized in John Naar’s book Faith of Graffiti. He was also one of the first to incorporate a character with his signature, like this one here spotted at the 149th Street train station. This photo was posted in the New York City section of the Writers Forum by yardwanderer.
