12ozProphet Forum Shot of the Day: Vintage SoHo

By - Friday, February 3rd, 2012

{image-1} Here is our 12ozProphet Forum Shot of the Day. This is a vintage flick of one of the biggest intersections in New York City, Broadway and Houston. This corner is the gateway to SoHo, and is probably most commonly associated with the iconic DKNY painted billboard that was painted on the pictured building for over a decade. This photo, however, appears to pre-date the famed advertisement. One of the best parts of this picture is the billboard advertising the Pop Shop, Keith Haring’s store that used to be two blocks away at 292 Lafayette Street between Houston and Prince Street. This photo was posted in the New York City thread of the Writers Forum by nycisdead106.
