1UP keeps it real in Kotti, a place where graffiti used to ride forever on the street, due to the neighborhood’s economic and social issues. Kottbusser Tor is the name for a space-like cross-roads and a subway station in Berlin district of Kreuzberg. The square and the metro station in Berlin are popularly known as “Kotti”. The neighborhood is considered one of the main hubs for hard drugs in the city.

Today, the surrounding area of Kottbusser Tor, is being gentrified very quickly, turning this long time bombed neighborhood into the immigrant yuppies’ dream, a prime location for sushi and overpriced coffee. 1UP doesn’t take this lightly and is determined to ‘keep up’ Kotti the way they see fit, maintaining the beautification of walls, trains, and subway stations.
