Video: HipHop101’s Tribute to a Legend - Stay High 149 (Part 1)

This article was posted by Benny Blunt 11 months, 23 hours, 7 minutes ago.

This tribute video in memory of Stay High 149 features a bunch of writers from the first generation recounting some of their most vivid and memorable stories and encounters with the legend. It’s definitely important for writers of all generations to grasp the impact that Wayne Roberts has had on the culture, so please take some time and listen to what writers such as Key, Boots119, Lava, and Shadow (to name a few) have to say about the life and legacy of a legend.

Although he is sadly no longer with us today, the impact of Stay High 149’s work on the subways and in the streets of New York City is still being felt by writers across many different generations and around the world. Stay High 149 was undoubtedly a key innovator in the movement who helped to create the initial foundation for the proliferation of styles that we see today.
