A-Trak – Gold Gone Wild II Tour

By - Friday, June 5th, 2015

This weekend A-Trak, accompanied by MPC master Araabmuzik and the eclectic dancehall sounds of Ape Drums, kicked off the second “Gold Gone Wild” tour to a full house at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston. The six stop tour includes smaller club venues selected by A-Trak himself because they are the ideal environments for his totally unscripted and  improvisational shows.  “To me these are like incubators where I can try out new routines that later make their way into my festival sets. I can’t wait to push my limits every night!” A-Trak tells Fool’s Gold Records.

With a mix of dancehall riddims, hip-hop beats and electronic music, the three performers certainly have distinct styles but compliment each others unique craft. One of the best parts of the show was the live on-stage collaboration between Araabmuzik on his MPCs and A-Trak on authentic turntables. There was no denying the talent these two possess individually but their ability to challenge one another and collaborate seamlessly on something so unique was truly incredible to witness.

In anticipation for the this tour, the trio has also collaborated on a track titled  “Action” which is a free download through the tour website and gives listeners a taste of what they have in store for this tour.
