adidas All-Star Collection 2013

By - Tuesday, January 29th, 2013

With the NBA All-Star game coming up this February in Houston, TX, adidas has launched a limited edition series of kicks to celebrate. Much like Nike’s collection of Houston-inspired All-Star sneaks, adidas uses a camouflage design motif to reference the city’s ties to aviation history. These latest versions of the D Howard Light, adizero Crazy Light 2, and the all-new Crazy Fast are electric in color and designed to make players feel lighter on the court. The D Howard Light is inspired by Dwight Howard’s love of music, complete with a reflective tongue that references the backside of a CD. As it’s name suggests, the Crazy Light 2 is the lightest basketball shoe on the market, weighing in at 9.5 ounces. The Crazy Fast references the shoe’s intention to make players feel quicker and more nimble. It utilizes a new SPRINTWEB design with tighter panels to increase support. These limited edition kicks will be available online and at select Houston retailers on February 1st. Text: Nicola Parisi
