Alan Ket profiles Peruvian Muralist Jade

By - Wednesday, November 21st, 2012

As the writers continue to push the boundaries of their imagination many, as you know, have taken to dedicating themselves to creating muralists. This new generation of muralists with roots in the graffiti world are an exciting and very active group spanning the entire globe. Many have already achieved worldwide recognition for their amazing work and their ability to span the globe sharing their talent. Artists like Blu, Os Gemeos, Nunca, Loomit, Aryz, and Retna all come to mind. In this vein I introduce you to the work of the Peruvian artist, Jade from the DA2C crew, from Lima. Jade’s murals reflect his travels and his experience as a working artist in the streets. His art part self-reflection, part social commentary, and all the while beautiful are an amazing addition to the Peruvian and Ecuadorian cities he has been so fortunate to have visited. Here are some of the works he has shared with me over the past year or so. Peace. Text: Alan Ket
