Alife and Furniture Designers Uhuru

By - Friday, June 17th, 2011

The guys over at Highsnobiety, got a first hand look at the new Alife and UHURU furniture collaboration and part of the Private Property movement. For the interview they talked with Rob Cristofaro and Arnaud Dellecolle of Alife on a number of subjects raining from sustainability to street art and reasons for linking up with UHURU. UHURU design is made up of Bill Hilgendorf and Co-founder Jason Hovarth along with a team of creative craftsmen. Their work is based around reclaiming and reusing material which otherwise would be scrapped. “I was immediately drawn into their work after seeing pieces that they created using the torn up boardwalk from Coney Island, says Cristofaro.” For the furniture, KR, Earsnot, Semen, Jim Joe and even the Fish (Max Fish) worked on individual pieces which will be part of this project. If you have some time then definitely give the interview a read which you can check out HERE.
