Armory Arts Week: SCOPE Recap

By - Tuesday, March 11th, 2014

Having recently attended SCOPE in Miami, it’s hard not to compare the two. While both had a solid line up of art, walking into a bright airy tent right on the beach definitely had its perks. There were a number of galleries whom were present at both fairs and while some had art from the same artists that they represent, others hosted completely new work. As with most of the fairs, one visit simply didn’t suffice. Thursday’s opening reception offered an intimate experience in comparison to our visit over the weekend which involved high volumes of people traffic throughout the booths.
Galleries came from all over the world with a number representing NYC, Los Angeles, places in between, Europe and beyond. Andenken, C.A.V.E., Thinkspace and Black Book galleries were some of our favorites from the weekend. Text and photos: Spencer Elzey
