Tony Goldman, the New York real-estate visionary and art benefactor who was a driving force behind the revitalization of New York’s SoHo neighborhood, Miami Beach’s Art Deco District, Wynwood and the Design District, died of heart failure this past September 11th at age 68. To pay tribute, Shepard Fairey dedicated a mural to him at Wynwood Walls, the veritable Street Art museum that attracted some of the best talent from across the globe and transformed the neighborhood. On December 6th, during the Art Basel Miami celebration, artists from all over the world attended a dinner hosted in front of the new mural and payed homage to influential figure who put Wynwood on the map.
