Check Out Art in Odd Places Public Art Festival This Weekend

By - Saturday, October 8th, 2011

One of the great things about graffiti, and art in general for that matter, is that there is no wrong place to put an idea. Art in Odd Places is a week long public art festival that takes place on 14th Street, from Hudson River down to Avenue C. Since 2005, the goal of AiOP has been to “remind us that public spaces function as the epicenter for diverse social interactions and the unfettered exchange of ideas.” This is a great way to spend an afternoon with a friend, or simply an opportunity to see unique art that only New York could offer. There’s over 60 projects going on this weekend for the AiOP festival. The12oz team highlighted a few of them that we think you’ll wanna check out: For more information and to get locations and times for each project log onto Art in Odd Places website.
