12ozProphet Exclusive: Askew TMD Paints LA Freewalls Rooftop

As Daniel Lahoda prepares for the LA Freewalls Inside exhibition opening this Saturday at LALA Gallery, he received a special visit from one of the featured artists. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Askew and his crew TMD put the New Zealand graffiti scene on the map. As Lahoda does for Los Angeles, Askew has become a major advocate promoting murals throughout Auckland, the capital of New Zealand.

This weekend Askew took to the rooftop of the LALA Gallery, representing his crew with this TMDees piece painted against the backdrop of the Downtown Los Angeles skyline. 12ozProphet photographer Birdman got exclusive access to shoot Askew in action and bring you an intimate look into the process of his sick unique painting style.
