Banksy / War Boutique Show

By - Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

{image-1} For those keeping up with Banksy, he will be having a month long show along with War Boutique at the Andipa Gallery in London, June 9th- July 9th this summer as reported byJuxtapoz. It seems that both artists will be presenting original for the Andipa Gallery. Banksy’s work was just exhibited in Gstaad (pronounced Ga-shtaad), Switzerland by the Andipa Gallery, “which attracted the highest number of attendees to date, from Geneva, Zurich and beyond,” also reported on their site. As for War Boutique, this will be the first commercial exhibition for the artist, who deals with materials used for war and destruction to express his ideas. He has also designed armor for armies in Britain, Algeria as well as police uniforms the Police of Mexico City. The combination of artists will probably set all new records for attendance and money spent on single work of art, or at least street art. And if you are looking for a good rant on things street art, you can check our post from a few days ago by Mat Gleason of the Huffington Post.
