Bansky Just Released a Creepy Ad for Dismaland
British phenomenon Banksy released an ad today for the recently opened Dismaland, a dark and twisted take on your typical amusement park. The ad puts Banksy’s satirical spin the traditional family vacation experience, from the lull at home, to the dreadful reality you face when you realize your vacation is nothing more than an endless wait in line. It’s a charmingly morose promotion for a place that actually sounds pretty magical.
Dismaland, housed in an abandoned swimming park, features new work from Bansky as well as art from 60 other artists, to create one of the most unsettling “gallery” experiences you’ll ever have. The bemusement park will also play host to musical acts like Run the Jewels and Peanut Butter Wolf and is open to the public for and affordable three Euros. The exhibition will run through Sept. 27th.
