Behind the Scenes: Mear One Paints the “Snow White and the Huntsman” Pop-Up Shop

This article was posted by Senior Editor 11 months, 3 weeks, 6 days, 7 hours, 55 minutes ago.

Last week we told you about the Snow White and the Huntsman pop-up gallery that opened its doors on May 19. Those who have already been down to 7710 Melrose Avenue in LA have seen the work of a number of hugely talented artists, including 3-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood. The gallery centerpiece, however, is a mural from Los Angeles graffiti writer Mear One. Drawing inspiration from the film, Mear painted his moonlit forest scene on a 12-ft mirror. You can see his process, and hear him talking about the challenges this piece presented, in the video above. The pop-up gallery runs weekends through June 3.
