Above and Beyond – We Are All We Need Tour

By - Tuesday, February 24th, 2015

Above & Beyond have been a staple to the electronic music scene for well over a decade. Having played most major electronic music festivals numerous times and even playing to an audience of around one million people in Rio de Janeiro, now Above & Beyond will be touring the U.S. to promote their new album We Are All We Need, which was released on January 20.

The group has 20+ scheduled events which kicked off during Grammy weekend at the Forum in Los Angeles with more dates anticipated to be released. The first half of the tour will be opened by  San Francisco-based house producer Lane 8 and the second half of the tour will feature Dutch Duo 16Bit Lolitias.

Above & Beyond are songwriters as much as they are DJs. Their live performances have redefined what many would assume a typical DJ set to be. While many DJs place themselves at the heart of their performance, Above & Beyond’s focus is always on getting closer to the crowd and making them a large part of the show. They are constantly communicating with the crowd via messages typed out in the moment making everyone in the room feel a part of the experience of a live experience. The ultimate culmination is bringing fans up on stage to press the play button.

Make sure to catch Above and Beyond when they play near you. It is an experience like no other completely fueled by the individuals that are there. For those of you that might no be familiar with the group, I highly suggest tuning into any of the 100+ weekly Group Therapy podcasts they have produced. The trio have also created a Tumblr page where they are sharing thoughts and images from the tour as well.
