Bronx Teacher Nabbed Stealing Subway Art

{image-1} 34 year old James Tavares of The Bronx, a special education teacher, was nabbed by police on Tuesday when they caught him trying to steal subway art. Tavares was accused of trying to pry framed art off of the 6 train with a screw driver around 4pm in the afternoon at the 96th Street station. He was attempting to steal a Sophie Blackall poster, it’s not particularly valuable work of art, it actually costs $25.00 at the MTA store. This isn’t holding up too well with the Board Of Education, calling into question if he should even be a teacher. The police are holding Tavares under “administrative action,” he is also facing petit larceny charges and possession of burglary tools. Text: Logoism Source: NY Post
