Bucharest Subway Graffiti Legalized!

Bucharest subway graffiti legalized! Well… not entirely. In Bucharest the city commissioned graffiti writers to paint a whole train in the Romanian capital in celebration of International Water Day. The artists painting an old model of an I.V.A. subway with the assistance of the Bucharest City Hall whose municipal responsibilities include both the subway system as well as the the local water company. Projects like this are definitely not without precedent as we’ve previously featured whole trains painted by Os Gemeos and their crew-mates last year and a throwback to the first legal train to be painted in Denmark in 1986.

Above is a sweet video of the artists in their element. Scroll down for photos of the finished work.
