Cake Tackles Her Biggest Wall in the LES

  • Recently, artist Cake collaborated with Murals Around New York (MaNY) and Fourth Arts Block to produce a wall in New York City’s Lower East Side. As a part of an ongoing partnership to reinvigorate one of the city’s art hubs, the two organizations acquired a wall near 3rd street and Bowery. To date, this mural was the largest that Cake had tackled. Despite this challenge combined with temperamental weather, the artist still managed to plaster her signature figures to the three vignetted spaces.
