Kendrick Lamar released new music in a surprise release last night. It is an eight track project that features recordings from 2013-2016 that didn’t make To Pimp a Butterfly.

A new project from Lamar’s label TDE was hinted by CEO Anthony Tiffith on Instagram two days ago. The album is now available for streaming or download on all major music services. Check out the album stream through Spotify.

Lamar has performed untitled tracks on live TV for Fallon, Colbert and the Grammy’s. In an interview with 2DopeBoyz, Lamar said ” I got a chamber of material from [To Pimp a Butterfly] that I was in love where sample clearances or something as simple as a deadline kept it off the album. But I think probably close to ten songs that I’m in love with that I’ll still play and still perform that didn’t make the cut.”

Track “untitled 05 | 09.21.2014.,” “untitled 05 | 09.21.2014.,” and “untitled 08 | 09.06.2014.,” are the tracks previously performed on live TV. You can check out the performances below.

Some of the featured performers on the project include Bilal, Thundercat, Anna Wise, Jay Rock and Cee-Lo Green.

Don’t forget to thank LeBron James for pushing TDE to release the project.
