Maison Martin Margiela and Converse will be releasing their highly anticipated First String limited luxe collection later this month. Experiential, the design is concepted around the wear in process of the Converse sneaker, creating a shoe that is unique to those who wear them. The Parisian fashion house transform the surface of the Chuck Taylor All Star and Jack Purcell through coating the canvases in their trademark white, creating a hand painted matte exterior. The paint chips and fades over time to reveal one of four colorways underneath including, three Converse heritage shades and an exclusive Margiela vintage yellow.
The Converse Maison Martin Margiela sneakers will be available at Margiela stores and at select Converse First String retailers later this month for $200.
