Dave's Wear House

By - Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

Back on January 11, 2011, the Observer reported on Dave Ortiz’s departure from DQM, and how he felt the $600 dollar sneaker days were over. Collaborating with the founders of Shut Skateboards Kevin Carney and Victor Salerno, they signed a 10 year lease for a 1,400 sq foot skate shop in downtown New York. The shop is now open at 123 Baxter over near Hester and Canal. Planned for ballers on a budget and bringing skateboarders and sneaker heads alike to a place focused on good product at a good value. Being the first stop in skate shops between the LES and Financial district you can probably expect it to get a lot of traffic, especially with the recent explosion of downtown skate parks. Good luck Dave! Via the Observer
