Daze continues to share with us the latest from his travels in Ecuador. This time painting a mural with children as part of the SMART Power Program.
“I’ve been here in Quito, Ecuador for the past month working on a series of murals with kids ages 11 to 17 from 2 of the local schools. The murals all contain the running theme of biodiversity and celebration of Ecuador’s rich natural resources. The project has been a big success so far in that most of the children want to continue painting even after the mural is finished. I also feel as if i’ve inspired a lot of the kids in showing them that they can pursue art if they want to. I’m really amazed by the energy and enthusiasm these kids have. Even when I’m worried that they won’t finish up they always come through. Right now I’m on my last mural with them.” -Daze
